We have been bringing copper wire and cathode from Iran into Türkiye since 2022; the route opened before Jahan International was founded and carried on with the company. Shipments move by road under TIR carnet through the Gürbulak (Bazargan) border crossing, and from loading to delivery in Türkiye typically takes 7-10 days including customs clearance. Consignments run in periodic batches of over 100 tonnes, which suits cable manufacturers that consume raw material continuously. On this route the buyer’s first question is almost always price — in copper the price is set by the current exchange rate and the exchange quotation, not by us. So that exchange-rate volatility is not left with the buyer as uncertainty, we apply a single rule: the price is fixed on the rate of the day the goods reach the warehouse.
