Aluminium is the second metal on this corridor: we opened the copper route in 2022 and added aluminium in 2025. Being the newer line did not mean starting from scratch — shipments run on the same route, through the Gürbulak (Bazargan) border crossing, under the same road transport and TIR carnet arrangement, and still take 7-10 days including customs clearance. The weight is in ingots: unalloyed ingot at 99.99% purity, in periodic batches of over 100 tonnes. Ingots come in two sizes, 22-30 kg and 500-550 kg; which one fits depends on the buyer’s furnace and handling setup. Here too the buyer’s first question is price, and our answer is the same rule as on the copper line: the price is fixed on the rate of the day the goods reach the warehouse, so exchange-rate volatility does not sit with the buyer as open risk.
